We contacted Serguei at Avantgarde Appliance Repair on Good Friday to fix a sudden serious problem we had with the baking element of our stove. The technician Dzmitry arrived promptly as scheduled on the same day and was extremely helpful in identifying the problem and he immediately ordered the replacement part. By Tuesday, less than four days later, following a long holiday week-end, he returned with the part and fixed the problem. We were extremely impressed by how well prepared the technician was to address our problem and by his dedication in finding a rapid and effective solution to our situation. We will use their services again as needed and recommend this service without hesitation.

The repairman was efficient and knowledgeable and was able to repair our Thermador dishwasher. He called to tell me he was running late and when he would get here. Very courteous!

My dishwasher had been leaking water and Dmitri did a fantastic job of troubleshooting and resolving it for me! It turned out that the spray arms and the filter on the door were badly clogged up with gunk, and he very efficiently took it apart, thoroughly cleaned it out, put it back together, and made sure there was no more water at all leaking out when running the dishwasher. Very skilled, friendly, and professional service!

Sergei looked at our clothes washer and our stove. He diagnosed the problems and came up with some options for us, and was professional, friendly, tidy and thorough. We highly recommend him

We appreciated the excellent work done by Dimitry of Avantgarde Appliance Repair. He was patient and thorough in his approach to diagnosing the problem that we were having with our Whirlpool washing machine in late March of 2025. Finally, it was determined that a sensor might be the problem. This component was ordered and installed on April 8. Subsequent testing via “real world washing jobs” proved that the problem had been corrected. Thank you for a job well done

Our washing machine blocked over the holidays and Sergei and his helper came right out. It was a messy & heavy repair job and Sergei got it working again on the same day. Friendly, quick and honest service. Another company was telling us we needed to change the dryer’s motor, a very expensive repair. Avantgarde took its time, and found the issue was that a sock had gotten into the drum and was blocking it. Removed the sock, did not need anything else and everything is working perfectly. Saved us a bunch of money.

Dude was legit the best repairman. He was courteous (had boot covers to not track dirt inside), professional, and efficient. He diagnosed the issue with my dryer quickly. He showed me a photo of what was wrong with my dryer once he took it apart, and explained how it should look and the likely cause of the issue. His fees are the best in Ottawa, $55-80 dollars less than other people charge just for the call fee. He is an independent worker and is his own boss. I would recommend him to everyone.

The dryer suddenly stopped heating. I called a few places, but Sergey was the one who answered the phone first. He arrived the next day and completed the repair in one trip! Sergey was responsive throughout, arrived when he said he would, and quickly and reasonably repaired my dryer. There was nothing more that could be desired. Will def recommend him to others.
